Winter Family Pictures at Tunnel Springs in the Snow | Salt Lake City, Utah

I can’t get over these snowy tunnel springs family pictures. I suggested tunnel springs park because even in the winter, the tall yellow grass is a beautiful neutral background. I was actually really surprised when we got up there and there was snow. The snow didn’t stick down in the valley. I didn’t think tunnel springs park was high enough up that the snow would have stayed around, but it was. It was a happy surprise. These snowy tunnel springs family pictures turned out beautiful.

One of my favorite things in the world is photographing my best friends. Katie and I met in high school. I instantly loved her fun personality. I will add some pictures to the end of the blog post just to keep us both humble. High school pictures are such a fun throw back. I’ve been the girl with a camera as long as i can remember.

One quality I love about Katie even more than how much fun she is, is what a safe space she is. She has been a sounding board for me from the small things like stupid college jobs, to the big things like religion and politics. Katie is one of my closest friends and I am just so humbled that she lets me take her family pictures.

We have done snowy family pictures for the last two years, so they can’t be that miserable, right?? Even though her small kids are champs in the snow, I am making her do them in the summer next time! Even though Katie and I weren’t planning on the snow, I think their outfits couldn’t be more adorable with the backdrop.
