Salt Flats Photographer | Lauren & Steven

IF you want to skip ahead and just look at the pretty images, I don’t blame you. I am obsessed with these pictures and love calling myself a Salt Flats Photographer. If you’ve been around here for a minute you know that Lauren is one of my BEST BEST friends. I mean you know it’s my best friend when she has 2 outfits for a photoshoot. My kind of girl. I met her 10 years ago in North Carolina when I was working as a nanny. We quickly become friends with our shared loved for dressing up for parties, One Tree Hill, and taking pictures. Lauren is actually THEE reason that I got a “big camera”. Lauren took pictures everywhere we went and I was obsessed with how good the pictures looked. Since then she has moved to Utah, met her best friend Steven, and married him. It has been so sweet living so close to her again when I thought we would be permanently separated by miles and miles.

Utah Anniversary Session

Last August I got to photographer Lauren and Stevens two day wedding. It was magical and everything I dreamed for my best friend. When I told her I was going to be doing photography as Hiliary Stewart Photography again, I knew she would be up for pictures. Lauren is the best friend. With only a few days notice she let me talk her into driving out to the Salt Flats for anniversary pictures. I love the Salt Flats so much. If I could just be a Salt Flats Photographer I would do sessions out there for the rest of ever. It’s SO beautiful.

Cue all the tears… Steven got accepted to a Graduate program in Virginia and they are most back to the East Coast. I know. I know. It’s so sad… BUT I am so excited for how much they will grow as a couple in this next chapter of their lives. You know I’ll make it my priority to visit so I’m not that worried. But it makes the last few years we’ve had together in Utah even sweeter.
